Really nice dog, priced low because he has a mild physical handicap. His leg was broken when he was less than 24 hours old. Due to the impossibility of correcting something surgically on a 1-day-old puppy, we basically just nursed him through and kept it from getting infected until he was old enough for surgery when it was determined there wasn't really a whole lot to be done.
As he grew, it did much better than expected. It is by no means perfect, but it is more or less functional for a companion lifestyle. It is certainly not something that casual passersby notice in public. However, that is why he was held back and not offered for a sport home. I don't think the repetitive jumping would be great because of the asymmetry.
He can certainly still outrun a human lol, and he would be a great family deterrent or personal protection type. He is not trained in protection so I'm going to use the word deterrent. He is certainly capable of more with training, but as he is right now he has plenty of territorial aggression that would be good enough for 90% of homes.
His sire sire is several generations my breeding, and I imported his mother. Nicely bred, siblings are doing excellent at various activities, particularly igp and tracking.
He is very dominant with other dogs and I do not recommend him for a home with another male. The only male he tolerated was the one that raised him. Being raised with so much handling because of his injury, he's extremely people-oriented and would make an excellent 24/7 sidekick for somebody. He is clean in the house, he is non-destructive, rides great in the vehicle and is really just all around pleasant to spend time with.
Not recommended for a first-time working line GSD owner because he does have stronger temperament and a good bit of aggression, but he would be a great dog for somebody with a little experience that is not looking to scale Mount Everest.
The only thing I would recommend as far as any kind of special need or maintenance is if you're hiking on more uneven terrain, such as a rocky area, I would put a boot on the foot because he does not put his weight on the pads because it is slightly twisted. Other than that, he's a totally normal dog.
