Spike came to us over a year ago from an agency that was unable to keep him due to handler retired. We worked Spike at our Police department up to this past summer. I decided to sell him due to the number of dogs we were training at the time. We sold him to an agency in South Carolina who was unable to manage him due to his handler protectiveness. Spike can be very handler protective and should not be placed in an environment with children or in a situation where multiple handlers would be an option.
Spike is highly trained and very useful. I have found countless seizures for narcotics with him and he is a fast searcher. Tracking is good and his Apprehension skills are on point for his age. Spike has a lot of use still left in him. He is very loyal to his handler and will work through distractions.
Additional Video is available if needed. We will be happy to assist the new handler in a brief transition course at no extra charge. We are looking to get Spike into a working department needing a serious dog with great ability! We will not sell to just anyone! Make sure you are a serious handler/trainer before you call!
