Training Details |
We currently have some out standing, high drive puppies here at Wolfsbane K9. All come from top parents titled in KNPV and IPO. These puppies are born to work and desire to be trained from the beginning. We have evaluated all of them and some would make excellent Police K9s while some will be more suited to family protection. "I thought we would e-mail to let you know how Marley is progressing over the last few weeks. She has learned to sit, stay (for about 30-45 seconds),lay, climb, leave it, out, shake hands, balance on objects (balls, buckets) fetch, and when she needs to go potty, she will signal us by sitting by the door. Heck, she has begun to stand up and touch the door knob.
Also, she began learning to search for items in a field. So far she has found her racket ball, my cell phone, and a pocket knife. Currently, we are working on speak.
I have had working dogs before, but your Wolfsbane K9 lines of Malinois’ are remarkably intelligent. Heck, I am waiting on her to begin talking any time now (wink). I found that I can teach her most tasks in a single sitting and have her repetitiously repeat the action with ease. Her focus is amazing. She is both toy and treat driven, which is great as it allows us to change up the reward.
She has learned to climb a shipping pallet and displays no fear of heights. We are going to progress to ladders in the weeks to come. As the weather begins to warm, she will begin riding in the kayaks and canoes with me.
At present, she travels everywhere with us. She loves her humans and is eager to please and protect. Just last week we went to Pet Smart and when we were about to load up in the vehicle, here comes some people moving briskly through the parking lot. Apparently to brisk, she faced them and let out a series of barks as to tell them to “ease up”. It was very apparent that she has no fear and that her humans come first.
