Training Details |
Kitt is a German Shepherd/Dutch Shepherd X. Her mother is a KNPV import from the Netherlands and her father, Mace’s Devil, is a son of Quardes von der Staatsmacht.
She is a high energy female with nice ball/toy drive and good hunt. She has high prey drive and is easily motivated by food. Up to this point, she has shown that she is environmentally confident. She has been exposed to slippery/shiny floors, uneven surfaces, grated stairs, heights, dark/tight spaces, and loud noises. She is neutral to gun fire and has been exposed to it several times.
She enjoys playing tug and shows the desire to bite. She has been introduced to a sleeve and shows no hesitation but will need further training to develop her bite work.
Her training is on going. She currently has basic obedience and walks nice on lead. I have introduced her to narcotics with plans on imprinting her soon but as of now she has been left as a clean slate in the event another detection discipline was desired. She has also been started in tracking.
Kitt is social with people and dogs. She is easy to handle and enjoys engaging with her handler. Kitt maintains clean kennel habits and is crate trained as well. She can be housed indoors if desired and is not destructive in the home. She rides great in a car.
She is intelligent, a quick learner, and aims to please. Kitt would excel as a single purpose police dog. She would also be suitable for work in security, customs, cargo screening, corrections, Search and Rescue, or entry level sport. Kitt would also do well as a companion for an experienced person with an active lifestyle.
