Training Details |
Little formal (competition) obedience, but knows basics- sit, stay, etc. Walks calmly on lead, rides in car w/out crate, sleeps quietly in crate or in bedroom, very very clean habits, non-destructive indoors, knows to respect small dogs and cats. Wonderful manners with children (does not jump, hands them the ball, etc.) I kept him green in case he ended up in a working home. Has working potential but he's so used to spoiled pet life I want him in a home, whether he's worked or not. No brokers or kennels, please. |

Hank has been raised indoors since the day he was born. He was a singleton pup and spoiled rotten by both his mother and all the humans in the house. Hence, he has a bit of a superiority complex. Very happy pup, friendly but calm. Very large boy- may end up a tad oversized. Extremely dark bicolor with huge head and strong bone. Will be a very striking adult, though he's awkward as can be right now. :)
Great with other dogs but I would not pair him with another male. He is going to be a more dominant dog. Female companion would be ideal, or he would be ok with a small male, I think. He was raised with our 3lb Chihuahua and does great with him. Plays very rough with larger dogs though. Dominant and possessive with other dogs.
Very territorial, good balance of prey/defense, playful but can be very serious. Both parents possess strong aggression and buyer must be capable of directing this in Hank as he matures. He is at an age where he is starting to push the envelope. He needs a handler with some confidence. I struggled with whether to put him under "personal protection" because I see a lot of potential in him, or companion and only chose companion because he has not had any bitework training as of yet.
Please feel free to ask any questions. There is nothing I don't know about this boy. I watched him come into the world and he's been with me ever since. I also own both his parents and his grandmother.
He has not been x-rayed yet. I know he is "serviceably sound" so I will sell him w/out x-rays for $2750 to a non-breeding home, or for $3500 I will sell him with full puppy guarantee as if he were 8 weeks old.
Hank has never known anything/anyone but me and is very attached to me. Bonds very strongly with his handler and for this reason, I will *NOT* ship him. Buyer must pick him up and I must hand him over to the buyer. This is in both of your best interests and will result in a much smoother transition. He would also be expensive to ship due to his size. He would require a 700 series crate.
