This male is a great dog to live with. He is certified through the Heart of American Police Dog Association, SPETSNAZ K-9, and TAK-SAR. He is housebroke and never tried to mark anything. He is trustworthy in the house and does not need to be crated. I can go to work of the morning and come home in the evening and everything be just fine. He will also go to other homes and show the same respect as I have to take him to my grandma's sometimes. He lives with a 3 lb pomeranian in the house and two cats. He is not food aggressive and will let either the poms or cats take pieces of food out of his dish while he's eating. He's also very good around kids. We have an 8 year old son and I have a 2 year old nephew that is around all the time. My 8 year old son likes to work his obedience with him and play fetch.
He has his Canine Good Citizen's Certification and his Working Aptitude Certificate from the Doberman Pinscher Club of America. He was also qualified for AKC Tracking, but never went to the trial. I do have the paper filled out by the AKC tracking judge that a dog must have to enter the trial.
The Heart of American Police Dog Association said that he was "dynamite" and could be "one of the best in the nation".
Search and Rescue has been this boys focus.
Since earlier this year, I have been taking care of ill grandparents and have not had any time to work with him. I don't see that changing anytime in the near future, so he is looking for a home where he can work. I HATE to part with him, but he's unhappy not getting to work.He has all of his equipment and will go and get it and bring it to me because he wants to work so bad. He has a harness marked with K-9 unit on it and a 25 foot lead for tracking. He also has a harness for repelling that was custom made for him. We do have some tissue and bone samples that are used for training with him.
There is a link to a video where he found two bodies in just a couple hours that the Sheriff's department dogs had been searching for for weeks.
